Green Sand Expert

 

Our "Green Sand Expert" tests the physical properties of the molding sand discharge from the sand mixer

This data is used as feedback to control the mixing process and keep the prepared sand properties under control and at set point levels determined by the foundry.  The Green Sand Expert model ETA is manufactured and sold in the USA.

 

The Green Sand Expert model ETA2000 is used to measure and control compactability

The Green Sand Expert model ETA3000 is used to measure and control compactability, green compression strength and moisture.

The Green Sand Expert model ETA3500 is used to measure and control compactability, green compression strength, moisture and permeability

The Green Sand Expert control system controls the properties of the prepared sand by precisely controlling the amounts of water, bentonite, new sand, spent sand charged and mixing time in the mixer.  By accurately probing the properties of the ingredients charged into the mix and testing the prepared properties of the mix, the Green Sand Expert is able to control the level of compactability for the prepared sand within +/-3 points of the set point value.
